Fast, Simple Configuration and Management
Control and configuration of the StorageView Storage Manager is easily
accomplished through the iSeries Navigator Console. Content storage management
processes are consolidated into a single graphical interface. A comprehensive
logging and messaging facility built into the interface makes exception and
error management a straightforward operational task.
Integrated Optical Migration Manager
The StorageView connector is equipped with a flexible data migration facility
that will move valuable repository data from your current optical or disk
storage configurations to any StorageView-supported storage. The reliability
and effectiveness of our migration manager has been demonstrated over the past
four years in a broad range of client production environments.
Our migration manager is operationally transparent; you can seamlessly retrieve
content from both your optical and replacement storage systems throughout the
migration process.
Modular Architecture to Meet Your Future Needs
The StorageView Storage Manager implements an architected approach to storage
interfaces. Current support is provided for any hierarchical file system that
can attach to OS/400 and for IBM's SSAM and TSM interfaces, development is
planned for connectors to support additional middleware and storage products.
